In order to race in these exciting forms of racing, a competitor must be a member of the Association, have had race experience, and a valid Motorsport Licence (MSA) for a National Category.  The Association will then process your application, together with Motorsport South Africa (MSA), the governing body of Motorsport.

For the Engen Volkswagen Cup, Drivers must be between the ages of 15 and 27 to compete in the Championship, and 28 and over to compete in the Masters Class Championship.

For Formula Volkswagen, Drivers must be over the age of 15 to compete in the Championship.
